Nafy AI vs Suno

Suno is the best-known AI music generator there is. Nafy AI launched in February 2026 and almost nobody has heard of it. On paper this should be a short comparison.

It is not, because we did something most comparisons skip: we put the same lyrics into both tools, twice, in two different genres, and listened to what came back. The results were not what we expected.

Quick Verdict

Category Winner
Vocal quality Nafy AI
Generation speed Suno
Free tier Suno

Clear commercial rights Suno
Cheapest paid plan Suno
Track record Suno
Our review score Suno (8/10 vs 7.5/10)

The short answer: Suno wins on almost everything that is not the music itself. Nafy AI wins on vocals. If that sounds like a strange split, it is — and it is the whole point of this comparison.

We Tested Both With the Same Lyrics

Two tracks, two genres, identical lyrics into each platform, style prompts written to suit each tool’s input box.

Test one: reggae

Nafy AI produced the slower track, and the slower pace suited the genre. The vocal was full of ad libs, which gave it a looseness that felt more like a performance than an output. A slight reverb pushed it a touch electronic, but the groove was more convincingly reggae.

Suno came back faster and less convincingly reggae — a tighter mix, but the tempo worked against the brief.

Nafy AI edged this one. Both, though, made the same structural mistake: the bridge in each version sounded like another chorus rather than a genuine change of direction.

Test two: EDM

For the second test we wrote the lyrics in ChatGPT so neither platform had home advantage, and gave both the same brief: electronic, soulful, danceable, 80–120 BPM, clear female vocal.

Nafy AI came back punchier. The beat starts immediately, the vocal sits right on the tempo, and the chorus drifts towards euro-dance. Suno took a different route entirely — more trance, opening with a lighter beat, layering a hi-hat over the vocal, then lifting hard at the chorus.

Both tracks were genuinely good, and this one comes down to taste: instant impact versus a slow build. But the same pattern held. Nafy’s vocals were the better of the two. Suno’s were fine. Nafy’s were better.

What two tests actually tell you

One track proves nothing. Two tracks in two very different genres, both pointing the same way on vocals, starts to look like a characteristic rather than luck. That is as far as we would push it — this is not a lab test, and your prompts and taste will differ from ours.

The Free Tiers Are Not Comparable

This is the single biggest practical difference, and it is worth spelling out.

Suno gives you 50 credits a day, every day, and lets you download the MP3. The output is non-commercial and carries watermarked metadata, but the file is yours and it does not expire.

Nafy AI gives you 8 credits once. A song costs 4, so that is two attempts. You cannot download anything, and after fourteen days the tracks are deleted. If you make something you love on Nafy’s free tier, your only way to keep it is to pay.

One small point in Nafy’s favour: its lyric generator is free and consumes no credits, so you can write and rewrite before spending anything.

Who Should Choose Nafy AI?

Choose Nafy AI if the vocal is what matters most to you and you are not in a hurry. In both our tests it produced the more convincing voice — looser and more human in the reggae track, punchier and better locked to the beat in the EDM one.

  • Vocal performance matters more than turnaround time
  • You want voice cloning included rather than as an add-on
  • You generate at high volume and want 1,000 songs a month for around $25
  • You are experimenting rather than producing work you need to keep

Who Should Choose Suno?

Choose Suno for almost everything else, and certainly for anything you are being paid for. It is faster, cheaper to start, lets you download from the free tier, and you know where you stand on rights.

  • You need tracks quickly, or you like to iterate
  • You want to keep what you make without paying first
  • You need WAV files or separated stems
  • The work is commercial and you need defensible licensing
  • You would rather use a platform with years of independent scrutiny behind it

Our Verdict

Suno wins, but not for the reason we expected. We assumed the established, better-funded platform would simply sound better. It did not. Across two genres Nafy AI produced the stronger vocals, and in the reggae test the better track overall.

What decides it is everything wrapped around the model. Suno is faster, starts cheaper at $10 a month against $12.42 on an annual commitment, gives you a usable free tier with downloads, and tells you clearly what you may do with your tracks. Nafy AI is slow, gives you two free attempts, deletes them after a fortnight, and its terms, licence and pricing page disagree with each other about who holds commercial rights.

That is why we scored Suno 8/10 and Nafy AI 7.5/10. It is a narrower gap than you might expect from a brand-new tool going up against the category leader, and the whole of it sits in the product around the music rather than the music itself.

Nafy AI is worth watching. If it speeds up, loosens the free tier and sorts out its paperwork, the underlying model is good enough to be a genuine rival. Today it is not one.
